The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has released its updated multi-year transportation improvement plan, and State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) is pleased to announce that a total of $180,273,000 in IDOT funds is being channeled toward projects in the 24th Senate District. Of this, $154,159 is slated for state highway improvements within the district, and $26,114,000 is allocated toward improvements to local highways. A total of $71.110 million is allocated toward projects for the current fiscal year.

“Once again, the 24th District is receiving a large share of transportation improvement dollars in the IDOT Multi-Year Plan,” said Lewis. “These projects are vital to maintaining safe roads for motorists and other travelers and improving the integrity of our aging bridges.”
