$180.273 Million in Transportation Improvement Projects Coming to 24th District in New IDOT Multi-Year Plan

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has released its updated multi-year transportation improvement plan, and State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) is pleased to announce that a total of $180,273,000 in IDOT funds is being channeled toward projects in the 24th Senate District. Of this, $154,159 is slated for state highway improvements within the district, and $26,114,000 is allocated toward improvements to local highways. A total of $71.110 million is allocated toward projects for the current fiscal year.

“Once again, the 24th District is receiving a large share of transportation improvement dollars in the IDOT Multi-Year Plan,” said Lewis. “These projects are vital to maintaining safe roads for motorists and other travelers and improving the integrity of our aging bridges.”

Click here to view the list of projects that are coming between Fiscal Year 2025-2030, with projects slated for the current fiscal year noted in red. A total of 29 projects that cover 28.55 miles of state highways, and an additional 15 projects that span 3.81 miles of local highways are included for this area in the updated plan.
