Family-friendly fun, including a performance by the renowned Jesse White Tumblers, a demonstration by the Bloomingdale Police K-9 Unit, a “Touch-a-Truck” display, the Traveling World of Reptiles show, giveaways and more will be featured at a FREE Children’s Safety Expo hosted by State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett), State Representatives Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) and Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) on Saturday, August 29.

“This free event is a great opportunity for families to spend a morning together, have some fun and learn important safety information,” said Lewis. “From nutrition and fire safety to meeting the police officers and first responders who serve our communities, there’s something for everyone. We’re especially excited to welcome the Jesse White Tumblers and Traveling World of Reptiles, and I hope families will join us for a fun and informative morning.”
Admission is free, and giveaways will be available throughout the event.

An interactive “Touch-a-Truck” exhibit will also be featured at the Safety Expo. Kids are invited to see, touch and even get behind the wheel of their favorite squad car, fire truck, snowplow and more. Local professionals will be available to answer questions about the equipment they use and the work they do.
“We’re bringing together an outstanding group of organizations that are ready to connect with families and provide helpful resources, answer questions, and share important safety information,” added Lewis. “With interactive activities, demonstrations and plenty of opportunities for kids to explore, this will be a fun and engaging event for the whole family. We look forward to seeing everyone there!”
