Senator Lewis, Rep. Grant to Co-Host IPASS on Demand Event in Winfield on August 12

Motorists looking to make the switch to the Illinois Tollway’s new IPASS sticker tag will have a convenient opportunity to do so on Wednesday, August 12, when State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) co-host an IPASS on Demand event in Winfield.

The Illinois Tollway is replacing its traditional plastic transponders with new sticker tags, and Tollway representatives will be at the Winfield Park District building from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on August 12 to help customers make the transition, answer questions about their IPASS accounts, and assist with “Pay By Plate” issues.

“Many people have received notices about the new sticker tags but haven’t had the time to make the switch,” said Lewis. “By bringing the Tollway’s mobile team into the district, we’re making it quick and convenient for residents to update their accounts without having to travel to a customer service center and perhaps pay a fee.”

Tuesday, August 12
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Winfield Park District
0N020 N. County Farm Road

Residents attending the event should bring their current plastic transponder and have their license plate number available to help expedite the process.

Once activated, the new sticker tag can be used on the Illinois Tollway and E-ZPass roadways in other participating states within 24 hours. There is no deposit required for the sticker tag, and the $10 transponder deposit from the previous device, along with any remaining account balance, will automatically transfer to the new sticker account.

“These events are all about making state services more accessible,” Lewis added. “Whether you need to replace your transponder, have questions about your account, or need assistance with other issues involving your IPASS, this is an easy opportunity to get personalized help close to home.”
