State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) are partnering with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office to help local residents connect with more than $5 billion in unclaimed property and cash.
Attendees can meet one-on-one with counselors from the Illinois Treasurer’s Office, who will assist with searching the state’s ICASH database and filing claims for property or cash that may belong to them.
“We have had tremendous success in helping people find cash and property they didn’t even know they were owed,” said Lewis. “At past events, residents have discovered funds from old bank accounts, forgotten paychecks, and even inheritance money. It’s quick, easy, and free, and you might walk away with money that’s rightfully yours.”
