Youth Job Fair

Students and young adults (ages 16-21) are invited to jumpstart their futures by attending Senator Lewis’ and Rep. Sanalitro’s Youth Job Fair! The event will take place at the Bloomingdale Park District’s building on Circle Avenue. Come dressed to impress and bring your resumes!

During the Fair, from 3pm-4 pm, there will be a Workshop with WorkNet DuPage.

You’re More Hired Than You Think

Workshop Description: Think you need a full-time job or years of experience to stand out? Think again! This interactive workshop helps high school students uncover the valuable skills they’ve already gained through volunteering, sports, clubs, part-time jobs, and everyday activities. Participants will learn how to identify, articulate, and apply these skills to college, vocational training, and future careers. They’ll also explore strategies for continued skill building, even in activities that aren’t directly related to their dream job, and gain practical tips for resumes, applications, and interviews. Walk away confident, prepared, and ready to turn your everyday experiences into career power.
